It's the most wonderful time of the year.....

Christmas at Beachview

Christmas Tradition- Matching family jams (2016)

Here are some pics of our Christmas decorations at our Beachview home. Steps from the beach in a cap cod home, perched upon a hill. Super cute home with head-turning curb appeal. I’ll show you my favorite last year gift givings, along with some decorating ideas.

Adorable gifts. Monogrammed scarves by Mudpie for Christmas giving.

Homemade Banana Bread wrapped up in some farmhouse charm for teachers, postman, and police.

We just love this adorable home with so much character to offer. After the renovations and the news of the 4th baby coming we were torn to stay or move. After many thoughts, feelings and conversations, we thought it would be better and more beneficial for our family to move into something else that better suited us. We are headed to our new home the Monday after Thanksgiving. I tried to get the move the week before Thanksgiving. Why? The kids last day of school is Tuesday so I thought the long break would have been perfect to get acclimated for all. The people buying our home were out-of-town and weren’t able to accommodate our needs. Oh well that’s ok and here we are. Packing is intense and I guess I could use the extra couple days. We are bittersweet but I’m not going to lie that I’m super excited for the move. I’m so excited to share with you the journey through our new heritage farmhouse home to be from start to finish. Projects for me. Lots and lots of projects.

I figured with Christmas coming and with everyone getting in the Christmas spirit I would share my Christmas decorations and set ups from last year.

I love to decorate for Christmas. I love to be kid friendly but not afraid to use just about anything. I add vintage to new and add farmhouse feel with some rustic touches. A little bit of country using new and old things. Take a look.

Chalk-board poster art that I found. I paired it with this cream distressed frame and added some greens, berries and crystals.

These vintage bottle brush trees are one of my favorites. Love all kinds.

Rustic metal trees from G Whiz (they closed)

Mercury glass ball lighting from Target.

Red table runner- Crate & Barrel

Wooden distressed signs made by me.

Wine room in Christmas. So very cozy. We get a framed ornament for each child and one for my husband and me. We frame our pictures every year and have a special tree with our photo memories. Frames by Pottery Barn Kids.

Living Room.

Christmas Pillows, leather ottoman, plaid seasonal blanket,

and tree ribbon by Pottery Barn.

Downstairs Hall and stairs

Garlands by Michaels craft stores. I feel it’s really important you find nice garland as part of your decorating. Ones that look realistic. I think it makes all the difference. I like the ones with the pinecones and a little faux sparkly snow.

It makes an impact on the way your Christmas decorations look. So splurge a little and it will be worth it.

Darling monogramed stockings for all.

Christmas traditions- First snowfall we bring out the Christmas quilts and sheets. Each child has their very own Christmas quilt, shams, and sheets. My husband and I even have them. The kids are super excited every year to put them out when it snows the very first time. What a great memory I feel they will have. They can pass their quilts onto their children one day and start the tradition with them.  We read Christmas books at least 1x a week on Sunday.

Photo frame Christmas Tree.

I love this other tradition and memory my children will have.

They put their framed picture up every year and take time to  look at the past ones. So fun!!!

Santa caught by me (mama) putting out the Christmas presents. I ran upstairs as he saw me and hid under the covers and pretended to sleep.

Enjoy the decor of our Beachview home this last Christmas.
